What the numbers mean.

Data windows, sources and limitations belong next to the research—not in the fine print.

The company universe

Sixteen selected U.S.-listed companies illustrate several business themes. The selection is editorial, not exhaustive, representative of the whole market or a recommendation. Company descriptions and research links point to official investor-relations materials.

The price snapshot

The desk requests Massive quotes through a server connection and refreshes once per minute while visible. Provider permissions determine available data and delays. Every quote displays its timestamp. Where a quote is unavailable, a clearly labeled editorial snapshot from September 17, 2026 is used. Snapshot prices are not current. Prices are USD; changes compare the observed price with the previous close. Volume is partial-session volume. We do not infer a multi-day trend from these quotes.

Historical prices

The momentum tool accepts dated closing prices you paste. If a historical market-data connection is configured, it requests split-adjusted daily bars from Massive through the site’s server. The tool reports the dates and observations it receives and does not invent missing sessions. If the provider connection is unavailable, the tool explains the problem and still accepts your pasted data.

The calculations

Observation change is latest close divided by prior close, minus one. A 20-observation return compares the latest close with the close 20 observations earlier and requires 21 prices. The 20-close simple moving average is the arithmetic mean of the last 20 prices. Results only describe consecutive trading sessions if the supplied series contains those sessions.

Relationships and correlation

Company relationships are editorial theme overlaps, not statistical measurements or assertions of direct commercial contracts. The separate correlation calculator computes Pearson correlation from aligned return pairs you supply. Constant series produce an undefined result.

Saved research and alerts

Signed-in watchlists persist to your account; anonymous lists stay in your browser. Price thresholds are separate one-time alerts. Monitoring requires the Massive connection, scheduled checks and verified email delivery; the alert desk shows their status. Only provider quotes less than 30 minutes old may trigger. Hourly checks can miss brief threshold crossings and never guarantee delivery or execution. Community posts and replies are stored for moderator review before public display.
