Specify the trigger
A price threshold, filing, earnings event and editorial research note are different kinds of alerts. Ask what data generated the alert, when it was observed and whether prices are delayed. Missing timestamps reduce usefulness.
Look for incentives
Read whether the publisher owns the security, receives compensation or promotes a sponsor. A screenshot of a winning trade is not an audited performance record. Ask how losses, transaction costs and deleted calls are handled.
Keep control of the decision
An alert should link to evidence and explain uncertainty. Do not share account credentials or route orders through a chat message. This site currently collects community interest; it does not send trade alerts or execute orders.
